how we can help
Area of Expertise
Human Rights is at the forefront of the focus at Daly Khurshid, and we have represented clients in cases relating to many areas of human rights protection.
We have acted for a wide variety of clients ranging from members of the travelling community, members of the LGBTQIA+ community to members of the immigrant and refugee community in Ireland.
We have provided representation for many years to members of the homeless community all over Ireland and have always considered that every person in Ireland should be entitled to a home.
We have many years’ experience providing advice to those entitled to redress having been subjected to abuse whilst under the care of institutions of the church or state.
We have represented clients who have been illegally detained and imprisoned and vindicated their rights under Article 40 of the Irish Constitution.
Every person living in Ireland is entitled to the protections afforded to them under Irish and European law and our experienced team are always availabe to assist those whose rights have been infringed.
Equality and Discrimination
We have acted in many cases involving issues of discrimination on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, political beliefs, race, civil status, membership of the Traveller Community and age.
We have provided legal advice to many well known NGOs and human rights advocacy groups in relation to a broad range of issues.
Immigration and Asylum
Through our involvement in the promotion of the rights of asylum seekers and immigrants in Ireland allied to extensive knowledge and experience in this fundamental area of human rights law, we are well placed to provide expert legal advice to our clients in these areas.
We understand that the immigration and asylum legal systems can be extremely difficult to navigate and our client-centred approach is one which our clients feel comfortable with.
The related rights of immigrants and refugees to work and live free of discrimination must be defended and we have been involved in many cases vindicating these rights.
